Being overweight was a problem that I’ve dealt with for years. I’d tried diets and would lose a few pounds but nothing compared to what I’ve achieved with Rahul and Performance Fitness Canada.
This summer, I decided I was tired of feeling heavy and slow. My husband invited me to go on a bike ride and I was horrified to realize that I was too heavy to get onto the bike. That was the day that I hit rock bottom. When I would drop something, I couldn’t bend down to pick it up. I was having trouble putting on my shoes and socks, and would experience shortness of breath when walking even short distances. I couldn’t walk up and down stairs. I even had awful back and hip pain. I knew I was ready to lose weight, and I had seen on Facebook that a friend of mine who had done personal training with Rahul and called him to set up an interview. The idea of going to the gym was never something I was interested in, and I was thrilled to hear that Performance Fitness Canada offered at-home, mobile personal training services that would work with my busy schedule.
Shortly after that, my life began to change. Rahul began coming to my apartment for three sessions every week. At first, I felt clumsy and uncoordinated, but as time went on, I began to feel more comfortable and confident during the training sessions, thanks to his motivation and endless encouragement. Soon, I was running and able to do exercises that I haven’t been able to do in years, and learning new exercises every day. He would always bring pre-planned work-outs for me to do, and always have the right equipment in hand, ready to help me face new challenges. My flexibility, endurance, and stamina have all significantly improved after having trained with Rahul.
Five months later, I have lost 40lbs and countless inches. I'm halfway to my weight loss goal and look forward to continue living a healthy lifestyle for the rest of my life. Before Performance Fitness Canada, I didn’t even know what “working out” was. Now, I feel myself living a much happier and healthier life. I no longer experience back and hip pain, and can walk long distances without experiencing shortness of breath. I feel like a whole new person, and Rahul and Performance Fitness Canada encouraged me to get here.
